Mascara I CANNOT live without

When it comes to mascara I have tried them all from the fabulous $49 Guerlain Noir G to the $6.49 Maybelline Volume Express. Now please don’t misunderstand I love them both and all in between but I have found that this amazing one works for me.

In my life a typical day means I apply my make-up at 5:30, catch a flight at 9am, meetings throughout the day, a return flight home, trip to the gym, dinner, babies bath, and make-up off.  So as you can tell I need mascara that I can trust and one that lasts.

Youngblood Cosmetics Outrageous Lashes Mineral Lengthening Mascara lasts through my daily life with no dark circles under my eyes at the end of the day. Seriously I cannot live without this mascara it adds volume, length and just makes my lashes incredibly sexy!!

I’m a busy working mother, wife, sister and friend who has tried it all when it comes to beauty, and beauty products. After growing up in a cookie cutter world and not knowing that I was beautiful (from other than my parents), I started my search young for all things beauty. I have learned what works for me, and how to work it. This has come in handy since I’ve been a cosmetologist for over 12 years, and a cosmetology instructor for over 11years and in my industry we always have to look good.
I’ve worked in the professional beauty industry my whole career and my love, and passion for it grows every day. So when something new comes on the market I usually am the first to try it; shampoo, conditioners, treatments, skin care, nail polish, cosmetics, hair brushes, make-up brushes, styling irons, hair color… you get the idea.
I was thrilled when my darling girlfriend asked me to write and share my experiences on this blog. If you are reading this let me start by saying I’m not a professional writer, just a very opinionated woman who loves to share. Hopefully this will give my family a break so I can channel all my beauty opinions here .

Graceful hair in the rain

Recently I was on a trip in the enchanting city of New York and un-fortunately to my dismay it was torrential down pour. I thought to myself how it is possible to have cute hair in the rain. Now of course I started with the obvious and bought an umbrella.

The rain wasn’t my only problem the humidity contributed to major frizz party on my head. If you haven’t been to New York in the early fall its still rather humid, this made my hair a hot mess. I had some time to play around and try to figure out how to combat this because the truth is I always want to look cute (who doesn’t right).

Confidence is Key!!

I believe Sophia Loren (what a bombshell!) put it best when she said:
“Sex appeal is fifty percent what you’ve got and fifty percent what people think you’ve got.” -Truer words were never spoken! When you carry yourself with confidence, people take notice… people want to be around you… people want to know what you’re hiding behind that smile!!  When you radiate confidence, you enhance your inner and outer beauty! So do something for yourself! Wear something that makes you feel sexy, beautiful, beguiling! Wether it be something as simple as painting your nails, wearing your favorite lipstick (my personal favorite,) or wearing thigh highs to work rather than nylons… do something that makes you smile!! Looking for something a little more daring?! Add a garter belt to those thigh highs!! Do what you gotta do to feel like the beautiful, sexy, sensual woman you are!! You’ll notice a difference in how you feel straight away! Which makes all the difference in the world, Doll! xoxo

Creating Perfect Eyeliner

So I have continually been on the search for eyeliner that lasts and does not smudge five minutes after I put it on or throughout the day. I’ve tried a pencil liner and found that no matter what the counter girl says it doesn’t last, and we have smudging.
