Ok ladies yesterday I found amazing gel eyeliner and it was only $7.50 at Kroger. Maybelline New York Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner in Blackest Black. This eyeliner is amazing it comes with its own angled brush allowing for easy application.

It applied with a smooth application and even coverage absolutely no clumping!! Now you know I love it!! It wears well all day and the brush helps for that perfected cat eye. Try it you will not be disappointed!!

I like my skin to look fresh, supple and moisturized not to mention feel nice too. Juggling work, kids, and a great marriage I have little time and funds to treat myself to the spa (I don’t roll like that yet). I’m always searching and researching for the best possible solution at a great price that I can do at home.

For just $2.69 at Target you can purchase St. Ives Exfoliating Apricot Body Exfoliation and create your own home spa treatment. I typically use this product weekly to help remove dry and flaky skin. The St. Ives formula is not only affordable but it works and leaves my skin feeling soft and supple.

All you have to do is after cleansing the body apply a quarter size dollop in the palm of your hand emulsify this on the body in circular motions. Continue this process all over the body to ensure maximum exfoliation. Once completed rinse the body, and make sure to moisturize.

You will be thrilled with the results, and so will anyone else who gets to enjoy your soft supple skin.

Make-up that lasts forever!!

Did I ever tell you how much I love Youngblood Mineral Foundation http://www.lovelybeautyshop.com/product_p/20202.htm , well I love it. During spring break we had a lovely visit to the beach where yes, I wore full make-up to the beach including the Youngblood Mineral Foundation. (If you know me you know this is the norm for me.)

Anyway let me start by saying that I never use to be a fan of foundation but as I’ve matured (ok gotten older) my skin has changed. I have varying skin tones and because of my oily skin make-up slides right off my face. I tried a number of foundations and finally found one that works best for me.

I began using the Youngblood Mineral Foundation last year and I LOVE the results. It gives me even skin tones with a breathable smooth finish.

Hear me when I say it LASTS and looks good!! I was on the beach all day sweating, swimming, and running with my girls. When we got back to the car and I checked my face it looked like I had just applied my make-up. IT WAS AWESOME!! Girls you know what I mean if you are a makeup lover how wonderful it is to have your make-up still in place after a long day. Oh and did I mention that it protected my skin from the sun (although the company doesn’t claim it, I sure did notice the protection).

From dry knees and elbows to Smooth and Sexy elbows and knees

HELP Beauty Gods how do I get rid of these dry elbows and knees in a week!!! I thought I might share this remedy because I’m sure there are many of you (like me) who have this problem and who knows it could work for you too.

So I’m thrilled to be preparing for a fabulous business trip to Honolulu, but let’s be honest it takes some preparation because my body has been in winter hibernation. I needed a quick remedy to resolve my dry patches on my elbows and knees. They looked and felt like rough dry scaly patches that had never seen the sun (or moisture). Gross I know, but do not fret I found a solution.

My amazing Manicurist recommended that I use Vaseline nightly on my elbows and knees then wear long pajamas (that covered the area) while sleeping to insulate the moisture. Seriously within two days I have smooth, moisturized, and soft elbows and knees I’m officially short sleeve, and skirt ready.

Brown Bella Bargains’ Bargain of the Week

A few weeks ago I was headed to Arlington, Georgia for a cousin’s wedding. I know what you’re thinking. “Where and what the heck is Arlington, Georgia?” It’s the hometown of my mom, and yes it is country. But I love it cause I’m a country girl at heart. Just ask my husband. Anywho, Columbus, Georgia is the midpoint. So Iil man and I stopped there for lunch and for some B.S.(Bargain Shopping). Over the years, I learned from my mom the Kmart on Macon Road always has great finds for low prices. And man did they have some that day. I’ll share all of them in the coming weeks. But today, I’ll share with you my favorite summer flat sandals which have made my 1st Bargain of the Week list.

The Route 66 Women’s Malaga Gladiator Thong Sandal is super, duper cute!!!! I purchased the Silver Glitter color. They are the perfect shoe if you want comfortable bling for your tootsies. I was a bit nervous about how the thong would feel between my toes, but they turned out to fit and feel very good. I wore them last Friday and they received rave reviews. The glitter did come off a bit on my feet. So, I’m a little concerned about how much glitter the shoes will have by the end of summer. But for $12.99, who can complain? So about me. I’ve been married for almost five years to my high school sweetheart. And yes, my hubby still gives me butterflies. We met my sophomore year, fell in “puppy love”, broke up my 1st semester of college, reunited my senior year, and married 2 years after I graduated. Whew, you got the short version. In August, we welcomed our 1st child, a beautiful baby boy who is the love of our lives.

I’ve worked as a marketing professional for an upscale beauty brand since college. I absolutely, freakin love my job. I bleed purple and silver if you know what I mean. (Hint. Hint. Wink. Wink.) My interests are passions are plentiful. I’m avid dancer. I’m a media junkie. And I adore beauty, fashion, particularly jewelry, and home décor. But my pockets don’t always agree with my adorations. The great thing is I learned at an early age you can be frugal and still look fabulous, and still create a stunning home. Thanks to my mom who is a DIE HARD thrift store shopper and bargain hunter, I have mastered the art of cheap chic.

I was all set to make my purchase of earrings, rings, and necklaces when my sweet baby let me know he was hungry. Mascara I CANNOT live without

When it comes to mascara I have tried them all from the fabulous $49 Guerlain Noir G to the $6.49 Maybelline Volume Express. Now please don’t misunderstand I love them both and all in between but I have found that this amazing one works for me.

In my life a typical day means I apply my make-up at 5:30, catch a flight at 9am, meetings throughout the day, a return flight home, trip to the gym, dinner, babies bath, and make-up off. So as you can tell I need mascara that I can trust and one that lasts.

Youngblood Cosmetics Outrageous Lashes Mineral Lengthening Mascara lasts through my daily life with no dark circles under my eyes at the end of the day. Seriously I cannot live without this mascara it adds volume, length and just makes my lashes incredibly sexy!!

I’m a busy working mother, wife, sister and friend who has tried it all when it comes to beauty, and beauty products. After growing up in a cookie cutter world and not knowing that I was beautiful (from other than my parents), I started my search young for all things beauty. I have learned what works for me, and how to work it. This has come in handy since I’ve been a cosmetologist for over 12 years, and a cosmetology instructor for over 11years and in my industry we always have to look good.
I’ve worked in the professional beauty industry my whole career and my love, and passion for it grows every day. So when something new comes on the market I usually am the first to try it; shampoo, conditioners, treatments, skin care, nail polish, cosmetics, hair brushes, make-up brushes, styling irons, hair color… you get the idea.
I was thrilled when my darling girlfriend asked me to write and share my experiences on this blog. If you are reading this let me start by saying I’m not a professional writer, just a very opinionated woman who loves to share. Hopefully this will give my family a break so I can channel all my beauty opinions here .

Hair Tricks & Tools—Butterfly Clips

After reading one of my last posts I realized, that many of you may not be familiar with some of the tools I outlined for use. So over the course of this week I will share what these tools are and how best to use them. And better yet where you can find them, please enjoy! Today I wanted to begin with Butterfly Clips.

Butterfly clips are a lovely beauties must have. These clips are the first thing you are introduced to when you enter cosmetology school, and as a licensed professional they become your best friend.

You may have seen them while you were in the salon getting a blow-out, or a chemical service. These clips are used for sectioning the hair so your stylist can have better control of a smaller section of hair. For home use these clips can be used for the following.

Item 1 Item 2 Item 3

Sectioning your hair when blow-drying your hair at home. (this really will help you to better re-create that salon look by using smaller sections).
Sectioning the hair when curling or flat ironing your hair at home.
One of the ways I most commonly use my Butterfly clips is for using my mother’s old fashioned rollers. They help to keep the curler secure and allow for the heat to evenly be distributed through the section of hair. You can find the Butterfly clips available at any local beauty supply from $3.00 – $8.00, they typically come in packs of twelve (which you may find to be extremely useful as I use these babies for everything)
