Graceful hair in the rain

Recently I was on a trip in the enchanting city of New York and un-fortunately to my dismay it was torrential down pour. I thought to myself how it is possible to have cute hair in the rain. Now of course I started with the obvious and bought an umbrella.

The rain wasn’t my only problem the humidity contributed to major frizz party on my head. If you haven’t been to New York in the early fall its still rather humid, this made my hair a hot mess. I had some time to play around and try to figure out how to combat this because the truth is I always want to look cute (who doesn’t right).

Now please keep in mind I’m not an uptown gal with my own driver or easy access to Continue reading

Confidence is Key!!

I believe Sophia Loren (what a bombshell!) put it best when she said:
“Sex appeal is fifty percent what you’ve got and fifty percent what people think you’ve got.” -Truer words were never spoken! When you carry yourself with confidence, people take notice… people want to be around you… people want to know what you’re hiding behind that smile!!  When you radiate confidence, you enhance your inner and outer beauty! So do something for yourself! Wear something that makes you feel sexy, beautiful, beguiling! Wether it be something as simple as painting your nails, wearing your favorite lipstick (my personal favorite,) or wearing thigh highs to work rather than nylons… do something that makes you smile!! Looking for something a little more daring?! Add a garter belt to those thigh highs!! Do what you gotta do to feel like the beautiful, sexy, sensual woman you are!! You’ll notice a difference in how you feel straight away! Which makes all the difference in the world, Doll! xoxo

Creating Perfect Eyeliner

I’ve tried a pencil liner and found that no matter what the counter girl says it doesn’t last, and we have smudging. So then I tried a liquid, and I found that it lasted a little better than a pencil but unless you have a steady hand like Van Gogh Continue reading

Disappearing Eye Shadow No More

As a young woman I discovered that I had extremely oily skin which I hadn’t really paid much thought to till I began wearing make-up and soon discovered that my eye shadow would disappear throughout the day or get stuck in the crease of my eye. My mother had the same problem and told me that she hadn’t found anything to keep it on, so my search began. I tried it all putting a moisturizer on my lids before I applied my eye shadow, using neutral crème shadow’s (which turned out to be a hot-t-t mess), using concealer prior to the eye shadow application.Well shortly I was introduced to primers of all sorts, eye lid primers, and face primers and I found that although my skin felt fantastic the shadow would still disappear. I tried them all and finally I landed on the winner is Continue reading
